FAQ

  • What can I use the Findnewspapers.com Classifieds System for?
Findnewspapers.com allows you to create an Online Classifieds System that can be integrated into your existing website or used alone. Create, build, manage and administer your own online classifieds site. Best of all, it’s free to use this classifieds system. You don’t even need an existing website or web hosting.
  • Who should use the Findnewspapers.com Classifieds Software?
There are many instances where a quick and simple on-line Classifieds System can be useful. For instance, if you run a club, you can create a simple Classifieds System to allow your members to transact. For instance, if you run the scuba club, you could have a classifieds system where members could post their scuba equipment for sale. Findnewspapers.com’s new Classifieds System allows you to do this and more.
  • How does it work?
    Basically there are four steps:
    A. You register. You register for our service.
    B. You enter the initial setting choices. Using our simple interface, you tell us what categories you are accepting listings for and what color scheme you want. For instance, if you run the scuba club, one category might be ‘Merchandise for Sale’; and another might be ‘Employment’. We create the Classifieds System for you based on your information requirements and we tell you the Classifieds Page URL.
    C. You tell your visitors. Tell your visitors about your on-line Classifieds System. In the case of the scuba club, you would tell club members to go to the on-line Classifieds Page URL to submit a classifieds listing or view the existing listings. If you have a web-site you can have a link from it to the Classifieds Page URL. Another good way to make your users aware of the on-line Classifieds System is to include the Classifieds Page URL in all club posters and other advertisements.
    D. Users submit a listing for inclusion in the Classifieds System. When your visitors want to submit a listing for possible inclusion in the system they complete the on-line Classifieds information pages, the information they input is stored for you and automatically approved for listing or you can optionally have it held pending your approval. Approved listings can automatically be viewed by End Users visting the Classifieds Page URL. (We are also going to add an option where End Users sign-up first before being permitted to submit listings).
  • Is there any classifieds script to install?
No, there is no script or software to install. Simply sign-up for a free account and set-up, customize and manage your own classifieds site.
  • Is this online classifieds system free?
Yes. However there are additional paid features which you may choose to enable.
  • Do I have to install any classifieds software or script?
No, just compete the information in our simple interface and you’re set. There is no software or script to install.
  • Can I use the service if I don’t have my own website?
Yes. Since you will be provided with your own customized Classifieds Page URL where your Classifieds site can be found, just tell your users to go to that URL. You get to run and operate your own classifieds sitewithout the need for having an existing website or webhosting.
  • How do I get users to use my Classifieds System?
There are many ways you can do this depending on what sort of classifieds you are operating. If you have a ‘For Sale’ type classifieds for club members interview for instance, you can:
    (1) Add a link from your web-site to the Classifieds Page URL
    (2) Include the Classifieds Page URL in all your advertisements
    (3) Print the Classifieds Page URL on business size cards and hand it out at your Club Days or other events
    (4) Post the Classifieds Page URL on your club events board
  • How much does it cost?
